  • Invited speaker: Invited to present an educational talk for regional trainee pharmacists (North West UK) regarding respiratory based conditions and medications for its treatment (September 2017, November 2018).
  • Core member of the pioneering Complex Respiratory MDT – invited membership by the respiratory consultant.
  • Compiled a database for medications stored between 2oC – 8o Information from this database is used to identify and isolate medication following temperature excursions.
  • Performed clinical research for the clinical use of inhalers used during exacerbation of COPD, findings of this research is used across the Trust as guidance for respiratory conditions with the associated inhaler.

 

Through work in various different Hospital Trusts, I have gained experience in a range of specialities and wards, including Respiratory, Care of the Elderly, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Anticoagulation, Aseptics, Endocrine, Children’s Medicine and Neonatal Intensive Care.

 

Having worked on medical and surgical admissions units, I have also exhibited adaptability when facing new and constantly changing clinical and team environments. I have the aptitude to be allocated a position in a team and utilise my skills and experience to benefit the team. This is due to the confidence in my knowledge developed through constant practice and studying. By having confidence in my knowledge, I am able to deal with clinical and practical issues that may arise in an acute setting where solutions are needed within a short period of time.
