Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to handle all aspects of guest check-ins, check-outs, and front desk operations. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests. You will be the first point of contact for guest inquiries and will manage various administrative duties, from processing payments to coordinating with other departments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage guest check-ins, verify reservations, and assign rooms.
  • Process all payment methods including cash, credit, debit, and checks.
  • Handle guest check-outs, resolve any late or disputed charges, and process refunds.
  • Respond to guest inquiries via phone or in person, providing assistance with room requests, amenities, and local area information.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to monitor room availability and readiness for new guests.
  • Dispatch bell staff and valet services as needed, and communicate parking instructions to guests.
  • Run and review daily reports such as arrivals and departures, addressing special guest requests.
  • Balance cash drawers and receipts, complete cashier reports, and drop receipts as per accounting guidelines.
  • Offer directions and information on hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and quality standards at all times.
  • Assist guests with disabilities and ensure they receive the necessary accommodations.
  • Handle other administrative tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for handling reports and cashier systems.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 10 pounds for extended periods.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
  • No prior experience required, though customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
