Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Bellperson to provide excellent guest service by assisting with luggage handling, offering information about hotel amenities, and ensuring guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive. This role is essential in creating a positive and seamless guest experience, supporting the front desk team and providing transportation assistance when needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms, offering a friendly and helpful presence.
  • Handle guest luggage with care, transporting it to and from rooms, storage areas, or designated bell areas.
  • Provide guests with detailed information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Explain room features such as keys, safes, mini-bars, and vending locations, ensuring guests are comfortable with their accommodations.
  • Assist guests in entering and exiting vehicles, loading/unloading luggage, and arranging transportation services like taxis, shuttles, or private cars.
  • Manage luggage storage and retrieval for early arrivals, late departures, and special requests.
  • Offer directions and assistance to nearby attractions, restaurants, and other points of interest.
  • Maintain security awareness by monitoring for any suspicious activity or unauthorized individuals on the property.
  • Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure seamless guest check-in and check-out processes.
  • Support guests with disabilities, offering additional assistance as needed to ensure their comfort.
  • Perform regular rounds to check the cleanliness and orderliness of bell and luggage storage areas.
  • Assist with valet parking services when necessary and provide information on parking procedures.
  • Uphold quality assurance standards by adhering to company policies and procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Respond swiftly to guest service requests and emergencies, adapting to varying situations.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary; customer service or hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move quickly to respond to guest needs.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry luggage and other objects up to 50 pounds without assistance, and over 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Comfortable moving over uneven surfaces, stairs, and ramps.
  • Professional appearance, adhering to uniform and grooming standards.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented approach to problem-solving and guest interactions.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle guest concerns professionally.
