Job Summary:

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role involves maintaining professionalism, efficiency, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to the outlet's standards and operational guidelines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service:
    • Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally.
    • Anticipate and respond to guest needs to provide a seamless dining experience.
    • Ensure all guest requests are handled courteously and efficiently.
  • Order Management:
    • Take accurate orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.
    • Handle payments, issue receipts, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
    • Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including daily specials and beverage selections.
    • Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.
    • Stay informed about promotions, events, and special menus offered by the outlet.
  • Operational Support:
    • Ensure the smooth running of service by working closely with the kitchen and other service staff.
    • Assist in maintaining stock levels of equipment and supplies.
    • Adhere to hygiene and safety standards, including proper handling of food and beverages.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.
    • Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and techniques.

 

Level of Education:

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management is preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or large restaurant setting.
