Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. This role involves maintaining professionalism, efficiency, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, while adhering to the outlet's standards and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs to provide a seamless dining experience.
- Ensure all guest requests are handled courteously and efficiently.
- Order Management:
- Take accurate orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen.
- Handle payments, issue receipts, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
- Product Knowledge:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including daily specials and beverage selections.
- Provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Stay informed about promotions, events, and special menus offered by the outlet.
- Operational Support:
- Ensure the smooth running of service by working closely with the kitchen and other service staff.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels of equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards, including proper handling of food and beverages.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and techniques.
Level of Education:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management is preferred.
Work Hours:
- Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum 24 months of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or large restaurant setting.
