Job Summary:
Our Hotel Internship Program offers a hands-on experience in hotel operations, providing students the opportunity to learn about various departments and functions of the hospitality industry. Through real-world exposure, interns gain a deep understanding of hotel management, develop practical skills, and become familiar with the brand’s standards and culture. This program is designed to help you kickstart a successful career in the travel industry, offering a pathway from classroom studies to practical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily hotel operations across departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and events.
- Support guest services, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing guest inquiries.
- Participate in administrative duties such as scheduling, report preparation, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with different hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and enhance guest experiences.
- Shadow department heads and management teams to learn about leadership roles and responsibilities.
- Assist with event coordination, from planning to execution, including banquets and meetings.
- Learn and apply the company’s safety, health, and sanitation standards.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives, including social media engagement and guest feedback management.
- Participate in training sessions on hotel software systems, brand standards, and customer service best practices.
- Prepare presentations and reports on assigned projects and operational observations.
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in a college or university, preferably studying hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for the hospitality industry, with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different roles within hotel operations.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of hotel management systems is a bonus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 20 pounds when necessary.
