Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to support our culinary team by maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently by cleaning equipment, maintaining hygiene standards, and assisting with kitchen operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily briefings and follow allocated cleaning assignments.
  • Prepare cleaning tools, chemicals, and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Organize and maintain mise-en-place (OS&E) for kitchen and day-to-day requirements.
  • Sanitize the kitchen and food & beverage (F&B) areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with receiving, checking, and storing kitchen goods, ensuring storage areas are neat and tidy.
  • Properly handle waste disposal and recycling in compliance with hotel standards.
  • Follow Food Safety Procedures (ISO22000) and Standard Operating Procedures of the department.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, report hazards, and notify supervisors of potential safety risks.
  • Report any defective equipment, accidents, or incidents, both in the kitchen and housing.
  • Maintain daily cleaning logs and report security incidents as required.
  • Attend scheduled training and demonstrate a proactive attitude in following hotel rules and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and substances without skin allergies.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5-star hotel.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
  • No visible tattoos under the arm sleeve or above the neck.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, with flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 12 months in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
