Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Signature Restaurant Manager for Shang Palace, our upscale Chinese restaurant at Shangri-La Dubai. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, collaborating closely with the Executive Chinese Chef to deliver a Michelin-level dining experience. You will lead the team, drive revenue through promotions and guest engagement, and ensure exceptional service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Shang Palace Food & Beverage operations, ensuring smooth daily service and exceptional guest experiences.
- Work closely with the Executive Chinese Chef to elevate the menu and overall dining offering to Michelin standards.
- Plan and execute creative Food & Beverage promotions to drive revenue and increase footfall.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement promotional campaigns.
- Train, mentor, and develop the restaurant team through regular briefings, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Maximize profitability by introducing new revenue streams, managing costs, and increasing the average guest check.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all areas of the restaurant.
- Maintain strong guest relationships, regularly engaging with patrons to enhance loyalty and improve guest satisfaction.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professional behavior and inspiring the team to deliver the highest quality service.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of managerial experience in a high-end, stand-alone restaurant or 5-star luxury hotel.
- Proven track record in driving revenue growth and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in training and development.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for Food & Beverage, with a deep understanding of international trends and luxury dining standards.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue analysis.
Level of Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Work Hours:
- Full-time position with flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 36 months of relevant management experience in a luxury hospitality or restaurant setting.
