Job Summary: Looking for a Shop Attendant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Job Key Details:
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional way, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable in the shop
- Provide product information, answer inquiries and offer recommendations to customers, helping them make informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including shelves, displays as well as product arrangement
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, restocking merchandise as needed to ensure product availability
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts as well as special offers to effectively communicate them to customers
- Collaborate with other team members to meet sales targets and achieve customer satisfaction goals
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating complex problems to the appropriate supervisor or manager when necessary
- Offer general assistance around the shop, including administrative and technical tasks
- Assist in receiving and unpacking shipments, verifying the accuracy of delivered products and ensuring proper storage
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Ensure workers and technicians have the tools necessary to complete their assigned tasks
- Assist with shop loading and work kit preparation
- Perform general shop maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, organizing supplies as well as arranging displays
- Conduct any other related tasks as may be required
Job Qualifications and Experience
- The applicant must have a business related background
- Previous experience in sales required
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions as well as inventory management
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating totals
- Must be familiar with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills
