About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Waiter/ress to join the team of Trattoria Toscana. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Greet guests with warm welcome and smile.
• Escort them to their tables.
• Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
• Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
• Be aware of allergy information on menu items and inform guests where needed or inquired.
• Check guest's identification to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements or requirements as per local law.
• Offer food and wine suggestions.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
• Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
• Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Fluent in English and additional language is a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications (epicure, micros).
• Previous experience in the serving capacity of the same role in a restaurant is required.
