Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Operations Manager to oversee all kitchen activities at McGettigan’s Irish Pub. This role involves menu planning, costing, and maintaining the highest food quality standards, while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including planning, assigning work, and setting performance goals for team members.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to team members to enhance performance and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Ensure all kitchen operations meet departmental profit targets while maintaining exceptional quality and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee special events and food promotions, ensuring all culinary offerings align with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and update recipes, dishes, and products while accurately costing all items for the Food and Beverage operation.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to ensure menu offerings are fresh and innovative.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Monitor food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with local regulations and brand standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and culinary innovations to enhance menu offerings and guest satisfaction.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or certificate in culinary arts or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a kitchen setting, preferably in a pub or casual dining environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of international culinary practices, trends, and menu development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and collaboration.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high standard of food quality.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
