As a key member of the Loyalty business and reporting into the Lead of Commercial Growth and Program Design, within the central Holding Company, the Senior Manager Finance will work closely with other senior members of the loyalty team, business units of Majid Al Futtaim and commercial loyalty partners, and is responsible SHARE’s financial management and performance to achieve the programme’s vision.

 

 

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

Business Strategy

 

Responsibility for Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, Governance, Decision Support and Investment Management

Ability to successfully support in delivering an aggressive OGSM growth plan

Build a well-established finance function that is prepared for exponential growth

Be the custodian for Finance operating as a key partner to the business enabling sustainable growth and best in class execution of financial stewardship and decision support

Lead the execution of the strategy together with the Head of SHARE and the SLT, with clear KPIs and a financial plan to inform this growth

Data savvy and skilled in uncovering insights to formulate industry-leading strategy

 

 

Planning and growth

 

Leadership of the Financial Planning & Analysis function including ownership of the planning cycle, forecast and 5 year strategic plan

Responsibility for the coordination of the budget process, ensuring alignment with strategic planning. Oversee the budgeting & forecasting process ensuring key drivers and sensitivities are detailed and understood

Involvement in all new business activity, due diligence, and investment management

Identify opportunities for efficiencies across the group to ensure continuous improvement and constantly challenge the current cost structure

Creating value, achieved by undertaking analysis, assessment and insight on current assets, whilst investigating opportunities to invest and grow the business

Champion and lead the development of key business cases that support the program’s growth aspirations.

Financial control and Governance

 

Directing the establishment of financial/accounting principles, policy, procedures and practices in line with legal and corporate requirements

Manage the strategic and operational aspects of financial planning, management, record-keeping, tax and legal compliance and financial reporting to enhance the consistency, accuracy and reliability of information

Leading a well integrated operational planning, financial and budgeting process

Manage and lead the audit process

lead the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the programme including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to Holdings and Business Units. and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs

Establishment of regional roll out from a corporate governance perspective

Overseeing and delivering best in class fraud prevention and management

 

 

Performance and Reporting

 

Set business objectives and KPIs and manage performance

Establish and monitor loyalty financial KPIs, management and financial reporting to provide the business insights on how best to take corrective measures when necessary.

Lead engagement with Business Units on their Financial KPIs impacted by Loyalty

Own and support the leadership team with presentations for Steering Committees and the C-Suite and attend meetings as required.

Functional/Technical Competencies

 

 

 

Significant experience in a executive finance role and proficiency in relation to management accounting (CA/CPA), and the preparation of management reports

Comprehensive understanding of fundamental accounting and operational issues

A thorough understanding of key business drivers in large, complex organization

Ability to manage a complex finance function and provide a ‘hands-on’ approach to ensure finance activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner

Co-ordinated reconciliations and payment collections

Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Advanced accounting software skills

Minimum experience

 

10+ years experience in a commercial or corporate finance role

Extensive experience working across multiple areas of Finance

Strong experience leading teams in a changing environment

Consulting experience from a top-rated consulting firm desirable

Experience in loyalty or financial services preferred

 

 

Minimum Qualifications/education

 

Bachelors degree

Chartered accountant qualification

Masters degree or MBA preferred
