Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for creating a memorable dining experience by delivering exceptional service and managing various guest interactions. This role involves a combination of serving food and drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, setting the tone for a positive dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes.
- Assist in setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service and address special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning and sanitization of dining and service areas.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a safe dining environment for both guests and staff.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve service quality and teamwork.
- Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Promote specials and menu items to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to quality standards, professional appearance, and communication.
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- Experience:
- Less than 1 year of related work experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attributes:
- Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Team player who is willing to support colleagues and work collaboratively.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods; navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is advantageous.
