Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Dockmaster to join our D-Marine team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. This role is responsible for overseeing daily marina operations, ensuring smooth berthing and mooring activities, and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the marina. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marina operations, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to customer service and safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise Dockmasters in performing mooring, berthing, and other marina operations.
  • Ensure accurate collection and timely delivery of yacht registration documents to the marina office.
  • Operate within VHF radio range to maintain clear and effective communication with team members and customers.
  • Assist Customer Care Agents and complete required reports to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure security by monitoring access to yachts and pontoons, and address any suspicious or unsafe situations immediately.
  • Support environmental safety by maintaining cleanliness on land and at sea, reporting any hazards, and acting quickly in case of incidents.
  • Assist the technical team with routine marina maintenance, ensuring the marina facilities are well-kept and operational.
  • Provide assistance to clients using Golf Buggies and workboats for their arrivals and departures.
  • Ensure garbage is regularly collected, and the marina is kept clean and orderly at all times.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, alarms, and other safety concerns, following all relevant protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Marina Supervisor or Manager to ensure smooth operations.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marina or similar operations.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Strong swimming skills.
  • Ability to operate a boat/dinghy.
  • VHF usage license.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with marina safety protocols and customer service.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Specialized training or certification in marine operations preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shift hours based on marina operations.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 36 months (3 years) in a similar marina or dockmaster role.
