Responsibilities Development of a high performing team which is focused on performance and personal development and has a strong sense of team; both as part of the immediate HLG team, the wider growth team Works closely with Interior Design, Engineering & Brand Safety function to ensure the overall delivery of each project. Provide feedback to brand teams on design trends, regional nuances and challenges to refine Brand Standards, design guides Representing D&E and HLG at both at a regional, global, and functional level as required Projects & Performance Partnering with key stakeholders in enabling the review of projects for IHG and subsequently taking successful projects through to signing, construction and then opening. Lead and manage workflow (and resource) as required to ensure projects progress on a timely basis. Understand owner investment goals and deals constraints to deliver creative and commercial solutions for each deal. Lead a small portfolio of key projects; either as lead architect or other technical expert Brand Execution - lead the process for the delivery of Property Improvement Plans (PIP) and Brand Suitability reports (BSR) for refurbishments, conversions or new build properties, including on-site evaluations and execution of PIP plans. Ensures the quality of work and brand standards are implemented and maintained at all properties to protect integrity/image of the brands.  Ensure the provision of support to owners as per the Technical Services Agreement throughout the project lifespan.  Communicate key decisions including cost impact, resource, dateline and brand compliance to internal & external stakeholder. Delivery of our Global Journey to Tomorrow and sustainability agenda into each project.

Description

Role Purpose 
Leads the D&E team to deliver our lifecycle and growth agenda.  This includes:
• Leading and developing a high performing team (geographically spread team with two key hubs: SWA& KSA) to deliver our lifecycle and growth ambition for the market. Creating a one project, one team culture.
• Delivering high quality design and consistently delivered branded hotels.
• Deal management: ensuring the deals are moved at pace from review stage to signing and then to opening with the right level of support in place for each owner/hotel.
• Leading key priority projects for the region as the lead architect or other specialist & responsible for their own portfolio of properties.
This role is responsible for all Brand categories

Key Accountabilities

Required experience 

Education & experience

  • University degree/diploma in Architecture, Construction, Engineering and/or Project Management.
  • Knowledge and experience in hospitality is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years in experience in design, construction, and project management; ideally in this market
