Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive - MICE to join our sales team. The role focuses on managing and expanding MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) accounts by implementing targeted sales strategies. You will ensure the successful execution of events, drive revenue, and provide exceptional client service to enhance guest experiences and increase sales opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and respond to all MICE requests for proposals (RFPs) assigned by the Sales Manager or Director of Sales.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with MICE clients through sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, and other engagement activities.
  • Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, focusing on maximizing revenue from MICE events.
  • Identify up-selling opportunities by proposing complementary events or services to enhance the guest experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the property's unique selling points, features, and services to effectively promote them to potential clients.
  • Communicate event details and final bookings to the Sales Manager for contract preparation and timely client sign-off.
  • Update and maintain accurate records in the sales and catering PMS (Property Management System) in accordance with company standards.
  • Solicit client feedback post-event through follow-up communications, surveys, and 'Thank You' letters, sharing insights with relevant teams for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of MICE events.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events to generate leads and increase market share.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of MICE operations, sales strategies, and event management.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on sales and customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Office and hotel Property Management Systems (PMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, flexible schedule with some evenings, weekends, and travel required.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months of relevant sales experience, preferably in the hospitality or MICE industry.
