Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hostess to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm, Dubai. As a Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing guest seating, and delivering exceptional service to ensure an unforgettable dining experience for all guests. You will collaborate with the Culinary and Beverage teams to uphold the highest service standards and ensure a seamless dining experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly first impression.
  • Manage seating arrangements, considering guest preferences and table rotation for balanced service.
  • Provide guests with menus and respond to initial inquiries regarding the restaurant and offerings.
  • Assist in making and managing reservations, answering phone calls, and addressing guest inquiries.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by engaging with guests during their visit and addressing any concerns or complaints.
  • Support the restaurant team in various duties as needed, including service support and operational assistance.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, offering informed recommendations to guests.
  • Assist with coordinating the flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Help to maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and surrounding areas.
  • Uphold One&Only service standards, exceeding guest expectations through attention to detail and personalized service.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Hostess or in a similar role in a 5-star luxury hotel or upscale restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with the ability to recommend dishes and beverages.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse and high-profile clientele.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and polished demeanor.
  • Flexibility to support the team in various capacities and assist with different tasks as required.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Hospitality or customer service training is a plus.

Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience in Months:
12-24 months of experience in a luxury hospitality or fine dining setting.
