Job Summary:
We are looking for a professional and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure smooth dining experiences. You will coordinate with staff to maintain high service standards, assist with guest inquiries, and uphold the overall ambiance of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests and potential guests warmly, ensuring a welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
- Ensure the restaurant is set up before opening, with tables and wait staff ready in line with operational standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of restaurant equipment and ensure uniforms and personal presentation meet hotel policy.
- Manage reservations by noting guests' preferences, creating new reservations, and accurately documenting them in the reservation book.
- Escort guests to their preferred or reserved table, ensuring seating is done according to restaurant guidelines.
- Take and document telephone bookings, maintaining an organized and up-to-date reservation system.
- Provide assistance to guests by addressing requests and resolving complaints, escalating issues to a Supervisor when necessary.
- Assist in training servers and runners according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Maintain cleanliness of hostess stations, menus, and dining areas to ensure a presentable environment.
- Assist with food and beverage service when needed, ensuring tables are cleared efficiently and orders are delivered safely.
- Keep up-to-date with the menu, including daily specials, and share information with guests.
- Complete administrative tasks related to the restaurant's operation, ensuring all processes are followed accurately.
