Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead the operations of Aelia, a French-Riviera inspired dining destination at One&Only One Za’abeel. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s performance, including staff management, financial performance, and guest satisfaction, ensuring world-class service in line with our brand standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless guest experience.
- Hire, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages development and retention.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, P&L, cost control (food and labor), and revenue generation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and update menus, ensuring quality and creativity in every dish.
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, and suppliers to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Lead marketing initiatives to promote the restaurant and attract a diverse clientele.
- Implement strategies for increasing customer satisfaction and repeat business through personalized service and unique dining experiences.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering, and ensure timely procurement of supplies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure staff meets service standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends to introduce innovative concepts and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in a management role within a fine dining or high-end hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with managing budgets, P&L, and cost controls.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Thorough knowledge of food and beverage service, including expertise in wine and spirits.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Level of Education:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred but not required.
Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Experience in Months:
At least 60 months of experience in a management role within a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting.
