Responsibilities Convert bedroom accommodation enquiries into bookings on the phone, in person or by e-mail. Record and process using a computer bookings system, cancellations and amendments via phone or email promptly and in line with company standards. Manage hotel selling strategy by opening and closing to specified rates linked to hotels business plan and as directed by your line manager. Liaise and communicate special requirements to other departments e.g. Cots, VIP’s and late arrivals and guest transportation. Prepare reports using both a computerized reservation system and other computer software such as Word and Excel. Record and manage bookings that failed to arrive (No Show). Sell the InterContinental Hotels Group products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques. Process and confirm guest room reservations made by clients.

Job Summary:

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Russian or another language is an advantage
  • Trustworthy with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in their work
  • Pro-active and energetic with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Ability to multi-task with prioritization skills
  • Proficient in the use of Opera System
