Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Painter to join our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all decorative maintenance and repair works related to the fabric of the hotel building, ensuring a high standard of aesthetic quality while providing excellent service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Execute all preparation and decoration work for ceilings and walls throughout the hotel property.
• Prepare and paint woodwork, including doors, architraves, windows, and skirting boards, ensuring high-quality finishes.
• Strip, prepare, and install new wallpaper as directed, maintaining a clean and professional appearance in all areas.
• Repair and maintain existing wall coverings to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules for all painting and decorating jobs as instructed by superiors.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance team to address any urgent repairs or improvements needed.
• Maintain an inventory of painting supplies and tools, ensuring availability and proper storage.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations while performing all tasks to ensure a safe work environment.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff on proper painting techniques and safety standards.
• Participate in renovation projects, providing input on color schemes and materials to enhance the guest experience.
• Monitor the condition of painted surfaces throughout the hotel and recommend timely repairs or repainting.

Requirements:

• Education in technical studies or an equivalent qualification, with proven experience as a Painter in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of painting techniques, materials, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work under established policies and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and climbing.
• Proficient command of English, with excellent communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Flexibility to work on varying schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
• Knowledge of color theory and design principles is a plus.
