Job Summary:
An opportunity has arisen for a Mixologist in the Food & Beverage department at Jumeirah Al Naseem. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service and leading the bar team to create memorable guest experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring all service standards are consistently met in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Suggest strategies to increase market share for the outlet, optimizing profits and driving sales.
  • Handle escalations and guest concerns promptly, working with the Outlet Manager to ensure guest satisfaction and a memorable experience.
  • Lead, motivate, and continuously develop Junior Mixologists and Bartenders, maximizing productivity, departmental revenue, guest satisfaction, and departmental COS scores.
  • Assist the Outlet Manager in ensuring that all team members possess full product knowledge and exceptional service skills.
  • Deliver consistently high-quality drinks according to brand standards, with comprehensive knowledge of the entire beverage portfolio.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of all beverages, including classic cocktails, wines, and spirits beyond those stocked in the restaurant.
  • Identify and anticipate customer needs and expectations, providing appropriate products, services, or information to meet those needs within specified time frames.
  • Take proactive steps to enhance the quality of service and promote a positive atmosphere within the bar.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, integrating new ideas into the beverage offerings.
  • Participate in inventory management, ensuring proper stock levels and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions for the team on new products, techniques, and service standards.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mixologist in a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications such as Micros and Sevenrooms.
  • Extensive knowledge of wines, cocktails, and other beverages, with a passion for mixology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on training and development.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts is preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months of relevant experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
