Job Summary:
The Guest Services Ambassador is responsible for enhancing the guest experience by engaging with guests in the lobby area and providing assistance with various services, including dining, reservations, transportation, and local area knowledge. The role ensures guests' special requests are fulfilled while maintaining a high level of service and professionalism. The Guest Services Ambassador will collaborate with different hotel departments to address guest needs and create memorable experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with guests in the lobby to promote and assist with hotel services such as the restaurant, bar, business center, and front desk.
  • Address guest requests for transportation, reservations, dry cleaning, or other special arrangements by coordinating with appropriate service providers.
  • Assist guests with local area information, including directions, event details, and activities, ensuring guests are well-informed.
  • Follow up on special requests for guests with unique needs to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Communicate with hotel departments (e.g., bell services, housekeeping, food & beverage) to resolve guest inquiries and service requests.
  • Anticipate guest needs by providing personalized service, acknowledging all guests warmly, and ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Maintain knowledge of property services, amenities, and local attractions to provide expert recommendations.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities by offering appropriate support and accommodations.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the hotel premises by reporting accidents, unsafe conditions, and completing required training.
  • Follow hotel policies regarding appearance, confidentiality, and the protection of company assets.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and work cohesively to achieve team goals.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management, including assisting during peak periods or special events.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality-related role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts and handle light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
  • Knowledge of local attractions, services, and activities is preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to hotel grooming standards.
  • Ability to handle guest inquiries efficiently and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • No supervisory experience required.
