Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lifeguard to join our Recreation team. The Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining a clean and safe pool environment. This role requires a proactive individual who can prevent accidents and respond to emergencies swiftly while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor swimming areas to prevent accidents and ensure swimmer safety.
• Rescue swimmers in distress and administer first aid as necessary.
• Maintain order and enforce safety rules in the pool area.
• Test and maintain proper chlorine levels and pH balance in the pool water.
• Oversee swimming meets and provide swimming instruction when needed.
• Keep the swimming pool and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
• Regularly check pool temperature and ensure it meets safety standards.
• Ensure sun loungers and umbrellas are clean, in proper condition, and securely placed.
• Secure umbrellas when not in use for safety precautions.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until professional medical services arrive.
• Stay informed about the club’s facilities, promotions, and operational timings.
• Assist in maintaining equipment and supplies for pool operations.
• Proactively identify potential hazards and report them to management.

Requirements:

• Certification as a professional lifeguard and first aid/CPR certification.
• Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English and excellent interpersonal skills.

Level of Education:

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Recreation, Sports, or related fields preferred.

Work Hours:

• Full-time, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Experience in Months:

• Minimum 12 months of lifeguarding experience.
