Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Accommodation Manager to oversee staff housing at voco Monaco Dubai, ensuring that all accommodations are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and provide a comfortable living environment. This role involves managing housing assignments, budgets, vendor relations, and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the allocation, maintenance, and safety of staff accommodations, ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to facilitate smooth onboarding by arranging housing and explaining accommodation rules and safety procedures to new hires.
- Foster a welcoming and positive community atmosphere within staff housing, resolving any concerns or conflicts diplomatically.
- Oversee daily operations of staff housing, including budget management, facility maintenance, and vendor coordination.
- Analyze the local housing market to ensure our accommodation offerings remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Regularly inspect housing facilities, ensure timely repairs, and maintain high living standards to boost employee morale.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental practices to ensure staff well-being and compliance with local regulations.
- Develop and manage housing policies, ensuring they are clear, accessible, and adhered to by all residents.
- Handle housing-related emergencies and ensure efficient resolution of maintenance issues.
- Plan and coordinate staff relocations and ensure smooth transitions for employees moving between accommodations.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4-7 years of proven experience in accommodation or property management, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field. HR certification is a plus.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to address housing-related issues promptly and diplomatically.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of UAE labor laws, health and safety regulations, and property management best practices.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple housing assignments, budgets, and maintenance projects with attention to detail.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of cultural diversity and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive living environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and property management systems.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to the unique demands of Dubai's World Islands.
