Job Summary:      Looking for HSE Officer in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

  • Develop and implement company-wide health, safety as well as environmental policies, procedures and programs
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify specific safety and environmental requirements for each operational area
  • Offer expert guidance and support to employees on matters related to health, safety and environmental issues
  • Carry our risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures to minimize accidents, injuries and environmental impact
  • Monitor workplace conditions, equipment as well as practices to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices
  • Investigate accidents, incidents as well as near-misses and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Review existing policies as well as measures and update according to legislation
  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety procedures, emergency response as well as environmental protection
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, training and compliance activities
  • Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity
  • Support the development of OHS policies and programs
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics
  • Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc
  • Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
  • Conduct any other related tasks as may be required

Job Qualifications and Experience

  • The applicant must have relevant qualifications for this position
  • Must have at least 2+ years of experience working as HSE officer or similar position
  • In depth knowledge of legislation e.g. OSHA/EPA and procedures
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
  • Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, good working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
  • Certificate in occupational health and safety required
