Job Summary:
The Guest Environment Expert is dedicated to creating memorable and unique experiences for guests by maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the hotel. This role involves a wide range of housekeeping tasks, ensuring that all areas of the hotel contribute positively to the guest experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any issues that arise during their stay.
  • Stock and organize housekeeping carts and supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available for use.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with the front desk and other departments to ensure effective communication regarding guest needs and special requests.
  • Follow established cleaning protocols and procedures, using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Train and mentor new team members on housekeeping standards and best practices.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss quality standards, guest feedback, and ongoing improvements.
  • Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens as needed.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure the overall success of the housekeeping team.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment, along with knowledge of safety practices.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Basic organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
