Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Hostess to join the team at Heston Blumenthal. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Your exceptional customer service and communication skills will help us provide an extraordinary level of service in our upscale environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waiting list efficiently.
  • Provide guests with accurate wait times and lead them to their tables.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area to enhance guest experience.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and preferences.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and service team to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor guest feedback and relay information to management for service improvements.
  • Assist in training new team members on customer service standards and operational procedures.
  • Handle reservations and special requests, ensuring personalized service for all guests.
  • Support the team during peak hours to ensure smooth operations and timely table turnover.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance food and beverage knowledge.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficient in using reservation systems and managing guest interactions digitally.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Hospitality or related fields is a plus.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:
Minimum of 24 months in a high-end hospitality setting.
