Job Summary:
We are seeking a personable and professional Hostess to join our team at Atlantis, The Palm. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their dining experience. You will manage guest seating, provide accurate wait times, and coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and manage seating arrangements based on reservations and guest preferences.
- Provide accurate wait times, monitor the waiting list, and ensure guests are comfortable while waiting.
- Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and explaining specials or promotions.
- Communicate guest preferences to the service team for personalized dining experiences.
- Handle guest inquiries and accommodate special requests, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
- Bid farewell to guests, inviting them to return for future visits.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure efficient table turnover and minimize wait times.
- Manage and update the seating chart, optimizing table availability.
- Assist in promoting special events, menu items, or exclusive offers to enhance guest engagement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hostess or customer-facing role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with reservation management systems is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Team player with a proactive and guest-focused approach.
Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is a plus.
Work Hours:
Full-time; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Experience in Months:
24+ months (2 years) in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
