Job Summary:

As the Head Bartender at Ossiano, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while leading a dynamic bar team. You will develop innovative drink menus that enhance the guest experience and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Design and implement seasonal and creative beverage menus that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
  • Anticipate and fulfill guest needs with prompt and courteous service.
  • Train, mentor, and manage bar staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage the bar's budget to control costs.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on beverage preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth operation and exceptional guest service.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, cocktail techniques, and new products to continuously improve offerings.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-end bar or luxury restaurant setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, wine, and spirits, with the ability to create signature cocktails.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with guests and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and bar budgeting practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service is preferred.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 36 months (3 years) in a bartending role, including 12 months (1 year) in a supervisory capacity.
