Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager at X Bar Arabian Terrace is responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maximizing profitability. This role involves team training, schedule coordination, cost management, and maintaining high standards of guest service and satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in supervising daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Train, mentor, and develop restaurant staff to ensure adherence to service standards and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels for all shifts.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food and beverage costs to maintain budgetary goals.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations, as well as company policies, are followed at all times.
  • Support the management team in achieving financial targets, including cost control and revenue generation.
  • Lead by example, maintaining a hands-on approach during service to address guest inquiries and resolve complaints.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure menu consistency and timely service.
  • Organize and participate in special events and promotional activities to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment by enforcing regular cleaning schedules and inspections.
  • Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of team members.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a luxury hotel or upscale dining establishment, with 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and remain calm while making quick decisions.
  • Hands-on management style, willing to assist the team in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Experience in menu planning, inventory management, and scheduling.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Previous international experience is a plus.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operations.

 

Experience in Months:
36-60 months (3-5 years) of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
