Job Summary:
Join InterContinental Hotels GroupĀ® Dubai Festival City as a Gym Attendant, where you will be responsible for overseeing the fitness center, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for guests while promoting a healthy lifestyle.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and supervise regular gym and fitness-related activities and events to enhance member engagement and maximize the use of the fitness center.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safe and effective fitness procedures, programs, and activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate aerobics and exercise programs, managing studio usage and exploring new ideas to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization within the fitness center, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to guests regarding gym rules, regulations, and membership applications.
  • Conduct fitness assessments and offer personalized training advice to guests.
  • Maintain accurate records of fitness center usage, member feedback, and event participation to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to promote fitness programs and wellness initiatives throughout the hotel.
  • Attend regular training sessions and workshops to stay updated on fitness trends and certifications.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to all fitness center members and guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

 

Requirements:

  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • Flexibility in shifts and tasks, with the ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Valid Gym Instructor or Personal Training certification (Level 2 or Level 3) and First Aid certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for fitness and wellness.
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment and safety protocols.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire guests to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Familiarity with customer service principles and practices.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant fitness certifications required.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of relevant experience in a fitness or wellness environment.
