Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences for guests. This role involves taking initiative to provide exceptional service, ensuring that every aspect of the guest's meal—from setting tables to interacting with the kitchen—is seamless and enjoyable.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Take and process orders accurately, providing detailed information about menu items and daily specials.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring that all presentations meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Set and reset tables, ensuring a clean and inviting dining environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including dining rooms and service stations.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy, striving for resolution.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff on service standards and operational procedures.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, service techniques, and guest feedback.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to enhance the overall guest experience.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move throughout the dining area for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Certification in food safety or responsible beverage service is a plus.
