Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring compliance with the company’s financial policies and procedures. This role involves managing budgets, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions while supporting the overall financial strategy of the hotel.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with company standards and local regulations.
- Develop and oversee the hotel’s budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
- Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard financial data and assets.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes, identifying and addressing discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and guidance for operational decisions.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee capital expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare all necessary tax filings.
- Assist in preparing financial presentations for senior management and ownership.
- Train and develop finance team members, promoting a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
Level of Education:
- University degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Hospitality Management; CA or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Work Hours:
- Full-time position with flexibility, including occasional weekends and holidays based on business needs.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum 24 months as Finance Manager or Assistant Director of Finance in a hotel or related industry.
