Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is dedicated to creating a memorable dining experience for guests by delivering exceptional service and engaging with them throughout their meal. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure guests enjoy their time at our establishment while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables, providing menus and information about specials.
  • Set and prepare dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen staff to relay guest orders and special requests.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Assist with the clearing and resetting of tables between courses and after guests depart.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including dining spaces and service stations.
  • Handle cash and process payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are logged properly.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of service and a positive guest experience.
  • Attend training sessions to enhance service skills and knowledge of menu items.
  • Follow all company policies and safety protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for guests and staff.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall efficiency of the restaurant.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is advantageous.
