Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Food and Beverage Server to provide exceptional service and enhance the dining experience for our guests. You will play a key role in ensuring high standards of service, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Food and Beverage service of the highest standard in accordance with departmental procedures and hotel policies.
  • Communicate any difficulties, guest comments, or relevant information to your superior promptly.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other departments.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily briefings and scheduled meetings.
  • Engage in training sessions and continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Prepare for service by ensuring:
    • Impeccable grooming and adherence to personal presentation standards.
    • Cleanliness of outlet equipment and proper organization of tools.
    • Polished glassware, flatware, and clean china.
    • Prepared waiter stations and tables set for service.
    • Familiarity with reservations and special occasions.
    • Optimal atmosphere, including music and lighting.
  • Provide effective service by:
    • Greeting and seating guests warmly.
    • Explaining daily specials and upselling menu items.
    • Processing food orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Using trays and tray jacks effectively for food service.
    • Handling payment methods with accuracy.
  • Execute beverage service by:
    • Upselling and replenishing beverages responsibly.
    • Advising guests on wine selections and serving them appropriately.
    • Promoting and presenting cocktails and other beverages.
    • Ensuring coffee and tea are served hot and in accordance with standards.
  • Take prompt and appropriate action to resolve guest complaints effectively.
  • Store food and beverage stock following hotel procedures to ensure quality and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of working areas, including the bar and guest seating areas.
  • Engage guests in conversation about food and beverage offerings, enhancing their dining experience.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, inviting personality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to various functions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think calmly under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and maintain an open-minded approach to feedback and new tasks.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A passion for food and a curiosity about culinary trends and offerings.
  • Basic organizational skills related to restaurant operations and service efficiency.
  • Previous experience in a food and beverage role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service regulations and cocktail preparation is a plus.
