Job Summary:
We are looking for a Banquet Attendant to join our events team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, executing, and breaking down events, ensuring all guest expectations are met. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to handle guest requests with efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Attend banquet briefings to fully understand event details, guest expectations, and room setup requirements.
• Set up tables, chairs, linens, and required equipment as per banquet event orders, ensuring the space is ready for use.
• Handle the assembly and disassembly of event furniture and equipment carefully, minimizing damage.
• Execute event services while anticipating and fulfilling guest requests, maintaining a high level of service throughout.
• Ensure waste reduction (e.g., paper, electricity) and minimize breakage of glassware, crockery, and cutlery.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, handling complaints according to company procedures to ensure resolution.
• Demonstrate industry-standard service attributes by being attentive, proactive, and responsive to guest needs.
• Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and special events when requested.
• Participate in training and development programs, contributing to both personal and team growth.
• Follow equipment and layout instructions provided by line managers, maintaining service standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5-star property.
• Communication: Strong communication skills with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility: Available to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts as required.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification; college or university degree is an advantage but not essential.
• Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
