Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Room Service Attendant to handle guest orders and ensure smooth room service operations. The ideal candidate will provide efficient and professional service, ensuring guest satisfaction through effective communication and coordination with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Handle room service orders via phone, ensuring accuracy and timely posting to guest accounts.
- Answer multiple incoming calls efficiently and professionally, adhering to service standards.
- Use guest names and titles, confirm orders, and provide estimated delivery times.
- Follow scripts to encourage upselling and promote hotel offerings.
- Accurately enter special requests and dietary preferences (e.g., cooking instructions, no seasoning).
- Close checks and ensure correct billing to guest room accounts.
- Print reports and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
- Promote teamwork by coordinating VIP deliveries and communicating with other departments.
- Assist with mise en place and operational tasks as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues effectively.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage but not essential.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star property.
- High school diploma required; college or university degree preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
