Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced F&B Captain for our lobby lounge Choix (By Pierre Gagnaire) at InterContinental Hotel® Dubai Festival City. The F&B Captain will ensure seamless service to guests, maintain high standards, and lead the team in delivering an exceptional dining experience in line with InterContinental and Pierre Gagnaire’s standards.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional guest service in line with InterContinental and Pierre Gagnaire’s standards.
- Resolve guest complaints during shifts and promptly escalate major issues to the Manager on Duty.
- Supervise daily cash handling, banking procedures, and prepare cash flow reports.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all service equipment.
- Monitor the quality of guest facilities, services, and beverage production, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Control stock levels, monitor security procedures, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Provide guidance to guests on food and beverage selections and maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu.
- Ensure that all guests' needs are met promptly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment.
- Assist in training and guiding junior staff, ensuring they adhere to service standards.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle pressure with calmness.
- A passion for food and beverage, with a keen interest in trying new things.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a restaurant operation efficiently.
- Team player with a warm, welcoming personality and a flexible approach to work.
- Knowledge of beverage preparation, including mocktails and hot beverages.
- Ability to supervise a team and maintain service excellence.
Level of Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is a plus.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, flexible working hours including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum 12-24 months of experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
