Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Reservations Manager to oversee the reservations department and maximize revenue through effective yield management. You will collaborate across departments, influence revenue-generating strategies, and ensure seamless operations. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of revenue management, and the ability to foster relationships across the business to support strategic objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the reservations team to apply up-selling techniques and maximize revenue.
  • Provide technical support to Reservations and Front Office on negotiating and up-selling strategies.
  • Manage hotel inventory and pricing across all distribution channels (CRO, GDS, Internet) while ensuring compliance with Best Price Guarantee policies.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and local market trends to recommend appropriate actions and optimize pricing strategies.
  • Prepare weekly reports and participate in revenue and yield meetings, offering insights to maximize business outcomes.
  • Track pickup trends, occupancy history, and market segments to support accurate forecasting.
  • Implement and manage revenue systems, including adjusting yield hurdle points and inventory balancing.
  • Analyze and monitor departmental costs, implementing corrective actions to meet budgetary goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to all reservation requests, maintaining high-quality reservation standards.
  • Develop efficient staff work schedules, ensuring optimal service levels while controlling staffing costs.
  • Provide input to the annual budget process, offering revenue-based staffing forecasts to relevant departments.
  • Oversee the management of group bookings, enforcing cut-off dates and monitoring booking pace.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel (IHG experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of reservations management, yield management, and revenue optimization.
  • Passion for revenue management and its application across business operations.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using PMS, Holidex, Opera, and revenue management systems.
