Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic Electrician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service while ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical systems within the hotel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on all electrical and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities promptly.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the proper functioning of all mechanical and electrical heating and ventilation equipment.
  • Assist with emergency services, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, battery systems, and standby power generators.
  • Maintain and repair mains and domestic distribution systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment, ensuring conformance to building and safety codes.
  • Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including power construction equipment, measuring devices, and testing instruments, to perform tasks effectively.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed and report any issues that require further attention.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements related to electrical systems.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electro-Technical Services or a related field, along with a valid electrician’s license.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality or building maintenance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is an advantage
