Job Summary:
The Bell Attendant ensures a seamless guest experience by greeting, escorting, and assisting guests with their luggage, transportation, and room needs. The role includes informing guests about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions while maintaining high service standards and professionalism. The Bell Attendant will contribute to creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort guests to rooms, assisting with luggage and ensuring a smooth check-in experience.
- Explain room features to guests, including key usage, minibar, in-room safes, and other amenities.
- Assist with luggage storage, retrieval, and transportation of luggage to/from rooms or designated areas.
- Arrange transportation services for guests (e.g., taxi, shuttle, limousine), and handle advance requests as needed.
- Open doors for guests and assist with entering/exiting vehicles and the property.
- Provide guests with directions, information about hotel services, local attractions, and activities.
- Monitor for and report any suspicious or unsafe activities on the premises.
- Ensure guests are aware of parking procedures and assist as needed.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming standards.
- Build positive relationships with guests by anticipating their needs and delivering personalized service.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members.
- Assist individuals with disabilities by providing necessary support, including mobility assistance.
- Perform additional tasks as needed, such as assisting in emergencies or handling guest complaints.
- Follow safety protocols, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and adhere to all company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest service.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted, and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Physically able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, including up/down stairs and across uneven surfaces.
- Strong knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
- Positive attitude, with the ability to handle guest concerns calmly and effectively.
- No previous work experience required, though customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
