Job Summary:
The Bell Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting, escorting, and assisting guests with their luggage and transportation needs. This role ensures a seamless experience by providing information about the property's amenities and services, arranging transportation, and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout the guest’s stay.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort guests to their rooms, providing a warm welcome and assisting with luggage.
  • Explain room features to guests, such as key use, in-room amenities, and local services.
  • Assist guests with loading/unloading luggage and arranging transportation, including taxicabs and shuttle services.
  • Manage guest luggage storage and retrieval, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Provide information about property services, hours of operation, and local points of interest.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhering to uniform standards.
  • Monitor for any potential security risks, reporting suspicious activity to management.
  • Respond to guest requests with a sense of urgency, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Assist guests with disabilities by offering support with mobility and luggage handling.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, such as helping in emergencies or managing special guest requests.
  • Maintain knowledge of parking procedures and ensure clear communication with guests about parking options.
  • Handle any guest inquiries or issues in a professional, polite manner, ensuring resolution.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and work in various environmental conditions, including stairs and uneven surfaces.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Basic knowledge of local attractions, transportation options, and hotel services.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle guest concerns with discretion and care.
