Responsibilities Operations Ensures the “Spa Experience” for members and guests by maintaining the established standards. Ensures that the health and safety of the guests and members are met at all times, controlling access to the facilities. Ensures the successful integration of the spa and the fitness facility into the overall operations of the hotel. Ensures compliance with all state licensing and health requirements. Adheres to policies and procedures of the organization. Develops a comprehensive standard facility operation manual, including written policies and procedures for all facility services, administration, and maintenance of the spa. Develops and maintains accurate facility maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance and repair. Ensures a monthly and yearly management report outlining key facility statistics and a summary of daily operations. Also reports any current or future concerns and forwards recommended changes to VP of Hotel Operations Maintains a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and products. Specifies and controls efficient usage of professional products for all services by completing a service cost analysis and implementing an inventory control system. Ensures an effective inventory system with the par stock levels implemented for spa equipment and supplies. Provides excellent customer service and monitors guest feedback through various mediums including GSS, GRS, Forbes and follows up on guest requests and comments in a prompt manner. Ensures appropriate facility supervisory coverage through use of a Manager on Duty (MOD) system. Prepares any incident or accident reports and forwards them to the Corporate Risk Management Department and other duties as assigned. Provides reservation procedures using spa software for optimization. Financial Planning & Analysis Submits all paperwork and financial reporting in accordance with policies.                                                                                                                                                     Ensures fiscal responsibility through efficient scheduling of facilities and makes necessary changes to stay within budgetary guidelines. Develops a schedule of seasonal utilization patterns to be used in the budgeting process and effective payroll management. Ensures that financial goals are attained by developing and implementing a retail sales plan. Revenue & Marketing Create the appropriate incentive to ensure revenue maximization and ensure upselling at its maximum and drive employee productivity. Establishes service and retail goals for team members and provides guidance on how to achieve them. Work with PR department to develop collaborations with wellness influencers, professionals and create some exposure through media and press release. Creates and implements an effective marketing and public relations strategy in a timely manner. Ensures that the spa is successfully positioned within the respective marketplace by completing a competitive analysis and determining strengths and weaknesses of all significant competitors. Implements a strategy to contact conference groups and promotes spa services to attendees. Create new ideas and concepts to ensure the spa is maintaining its position ahead of the competition                                     Liaise with operators for subcontracting services and retail partners to ensure they are supported to drive the maximized revenue. Work closely with revenue team to establish the forecast and optimize the revenue. People Oversees department recruitment requirements, assists HR in recruiting new team members, and carries out interviews as needed. Ensures the employees are fully knowledgeable on the use and benefits of services, products, programs, and activities by conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings and training workshops. Creates a team of service providers to meet all aspects of professionalism and service demands. Ensures training needs within the department are monitored, analyzed, and executed as per resort standards. Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback and mentoring opportunities to enhance performance and carries out any other job-related duties as requested by the resort. Assesses all employees’ progress continually, trains employees, coaches’ employees with positive reinforcement and disciplines fairly and consistently, participates in annual performance evaluations, and assists in the termination process when necessary.

Job Summary:

The Director, Wellness will be responsible for managing the smooth day-to day operations for both the Spa and Gym at Atlantis The Royal. Supporting and collaborating with external wellness providers such as salon and regenerative clinic to provide a holistic wellness experience at Atlantis The Royal. Responsible for the budget and goals of the division, ensuring they are achieved by strategic planning, marketing and training initiatives and managment of a team of talented Spa  and Welness professionals.

 

Requirements:

  • 6 - 8 years of successful spa management experience.
  • Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments, retail operations and inventory systems
  • Proficient in Zenoti and Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Experience in large scale luxury Wellness/Spa Operations
  • Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Professional manner, discretion, and appearance.
  • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously.
  • Creative in marketing and promotions.

Responsibilities:
