Job Summary:
The Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing total revenue and profit across guest rooms and event spaces for a portfolio of hotels. This role involves setting pricing, managing inventory, and implementing sales strategies for transient, group, and wholesale segments. The Revenue Manager collaborates with key stakeholders including hotel management, sales leaders, and franchise partners to identify new revenue opportunities and ensure consistent strategy execution.
Responsibilities:
- Manage pricing, room authorizations, and inventory to maximize room revenue across multiple properties.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for transient, group, and wholesale segments.
- Oversee function space authorizations, restrictions, and rental strategies to maximize event space revenue.
- Monitor daily inventory levels, ensuring optimal room availability for maximum revenue potential.
- Analyze booking patterns, revenue trends, and market conditions to identify new revenue opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of sales strategy reports and critiques, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Coordinate with hotel management to ensure that sales strategies are effectively implemented in reservation and inventory systems.
- Analyze and report revenue management data, identifying problems and proposing solutions.
- Conduct regular market analysis, identifying demand shifts, forecasting trends, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Evaluate and execute revenue tests to improve profitability.
- Provide guidance and leadership to general managers and hotel teams regarding revenue management strategies.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with hotel stakeholders, sales teams, franchisees, and owners.
- Communicate key performance metrics, achievements, and challenges to stakeholders regularly.
Requirements:
- Education:
- 2-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Hotel Management, or related field, with 3 years of experience in revenue management, sales, or marketing.
- OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Hotel Management, or related field, with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales, or marketing.
- Skills & Experience:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in inventory management, pricing, and sales strategy development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a variety of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in revenue management systems and related software.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies to meet revenue goals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple hotels and projects simultaneously.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to communicate results, trends, and market analysis effectively to senior leadership.
- Experience in implementing revenue management processes and strategies across multiple properties.
- Must be able to work collaboratively with hotel teams, sales departments, and external stakeholders.
