Job Summary:
An IT Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support for IT systems, networks, and telephony services within the hotel. The role ensures smooth operations by resolving technical issues, maintaining system efficiency, and supporting both business and guest-facing technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily IT support for all hotel systems, minimizing downtime and system outages.
- Conduct user training on IT systems, including software and hardware support.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware products, software licenses, and oversee maintenance agreements.
- Assist in the design and implementation of technology services, aligning with hotel objectives and corporate IT strategies.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve performance issues on LAN, network servers, and other systems.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on hardware to ensure reliability.
- Ensure compliance with Hilton IT standards during hardware, software, and network setup and installations.
- Collaborate with hotel management to maintain the IT infrastructure and support site systems.
- Record and escalate technical issues to the IT Manager as needed.
- Support the configuration and operation of guest-facing systems like PMS (Property Management Systems) and POS (Point of Sale) systems.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT support, preferably within hospitality, leisure, or service sectors.
- Proficient in Microsoft systems, including Office and Windows Server environments.
- Familiarity with hotel-specific applications such as PMS and POS systems (e.g., Micros, Agilysys).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to train staff and assist users.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Level of Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in IT support or related roles.
