Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Civil Technicians to join our Facilities Department at Atlantis The Royal. As part of Dubai's largest and most diverse technical team, Civil Technicians will oversee maintenance and repair work across guest rooms, public areas, outdoor spaces, and back-of-house facilities. Candidates with expertise in painting, carpentry, polishing, and masonry are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute painting tasks, including priming, undercoating, and applying gloss, matt, eggshell, and varnish finishes.
  • Match and mix paint colors, and apply spray paint finishes where necessary.
  • Construct, assemble, and install partitions, furniture, fixtures, and permanent structures.
  • Perform repairs on furniture, doors, windows, and other wood fixtures.
  • Operate various woodworking machines and install electronic/mechanical door locks.
  • Apply stains and varnishes, maintaining timber and other wood finishes.
  • Repair cracks, scratches, and damages on surfaces, ensuring the highest quality finish.
  • Perform decorative ceramic tile work, marble installation, wall plastering, and road paving tile work.
  • Carry out grouting and concrete mixing as required.
  • Follow blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to complete tasks.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in painting, carpentry, polishing, or masonry, with knowledge in using appropriate tools and techniques for each trade.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Familiarity with construction and repair work in luxury environments is an advantage.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in relevant trades preferred.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:
Minimum of 12 months of experience in civil works, with specific expertise in painting, carpentry, polishing, or masonry. Candidates with junior supervisory experience are also welcome to apply.
