Job Summary:

Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and standards, ensuring proper food quality, portioning, and presentation.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items, regulate cooking equipment temperatures, and thaw food from freezer storage.
  • Ensure proper portioning, food arrangement, and garnish; maintain food logs and monitor food quality.
  • Communicate with Chef regarding excess food and daily specials; inform service staff of menu updates.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards, prepare cold foods, and monitor food preparation during busy periods.
  • Assist management in training and supporting staff, ensure adherence to safety and company policies, and maintain a professional appearance.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Skills: Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; strong communication and teamwork skills.
