Job Summary:
The Chef de Partie – Sushi is responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes while ensuring consistent service and presentation that aligns with the outlet’s concept and Hyatt International standards. This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to maintaining culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present sushi dishes to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure all food preparation and presentation follow the hotel’s standards and guidelines.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and provide training when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen areas.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with stock control and ordering supplies.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Assist in menu development and creating new sushi dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen departments to ensure smooth operation and service.
- Ensure timely and accurate food preparation during busy service hours.
- Respond to guest feedback and make improvements to enhance the dining experience.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and Japanese cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Attention to detail and a passion for culinary excellence.
- Experience in working within high-end or luxury restaurants or hotels.
Level of Education:
Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time role with flexibility for shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar sushi chef or Chef de Partie role, preferably in a high-end or luxury establishment. Already based in the UAE.
