Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen at Saffron, our large all-day dining restaurant at Atlantis, The Palm. The ideal candidate will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase leadership and culinary expertise in a world-renowned luxury resort.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize all kitchen operations to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure all hygiene and sanitation protocols are followed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Oversee inventory control and ensure adequate stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Maintain food costs within set budgets and ensure cost-efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train kitchen staff to maintain consistent quality and service.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
  • Communicate with guests, gather feedback, and relay information to the head chef and management.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, reporting any issues and ensuring repairs are made promptly.
  • Develop and implement new menus, staying current with culinary trends and guest preferences.
  • Monitor staff performance and address any issues, ensuring continuous improvement and staff development.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a 5-star international hotel chain, with at least 2 years in a Chef de Cuisine (CDC) or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Level of Education:
Diploma in Catering or Culinary Arts or equivalent professional qualification.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:
Minimum of 60 months in a 5-star international chain, with at least 24 months in a similar leadership role.
