Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for guests by delivering exceptional service and managing a variety of tasks related to meal preparation and customer interaction. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure guest satisfaction and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Set up and clean dining areas, including tables and service stations, to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food service and address guest requests.
  • Take guest orders accurately and provide menu recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address any concerns or feedback during their meal.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper portion sizes and presentation standards.
  • Handle payments and transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and ingredients to answer guest inquiries effectively.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures to create a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance service skills and product knowledge.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors to support team objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic math skills for handling transactions and payments accurately.
  • Attributes:
    • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative when needed.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
    • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Must be able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
